REST, GROW, and BE ENCOURAGED describes the mission of Voice In The Vineyard Ministries created by Steve and Cindy. The couple finalized their non-profit status in August 2023 and launched their dream to serve church workers. Generous donors with a heart for those who serve provided this young ministry the necessary funding to revamp a beautiful park in the middle of Steinbeck Vineyards, Paso Robles. A custom “gathering table” is under construction and will be a conversation, food, and wine space in the vineyard.
Voice In The Vineyards allows Steve and Cindy the perfect opportunity to serve church workers, using the gifts God has given them. They understand the value of community and the necessity for personal growth and rest. They encourage balance and health in all aspects of life — body, soul, mind, heart, and spirit for the individual worker so that they can be strong as they serve others.
Their first guest, Mark, a church musician from St. Louis, has been followed by Directors of Christian Education (DCE) and pastors. Guests work with Steve and Cindy, choosing dates and the number of nights they stay for FREE in donated trailers. One BBQ dinner and one country breakfast around our gathering table is included, with plenty of conversation about life, resting, and growing in Christ. Some guests have very limited time to spend, so they may just choose to tour the vineyards in the Steinbeck family’s rusty old Jeep.
Cindy’s book, Father’s Vineyard, is gifted to each participant and used as the informal curriculum during and after an individual’s stay. Guests bounce around the vineyard in an old Willy’s Jeep, reflecting on vineyards, vines, and Jesus the one true Vine. Steve and Cindy’s San Diego home has been a resting/growing place for many as they donate that space for church workers. The ministry offers opportunity for church/school staff to gather for team building OR Steve and Cindy can travel to lead staff events.
