Imagine a day where everyone in your city comes together with one goal in mind: Share the love of Jesus by serving His people. St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Rocklin, CA did just that this past spring. On Saturday, May 18th, 50+ volunteers pioneered the first Love Rocklin service day in tandem with the Love Our Cities Organization.
A city-wide serve day where Christians and non-Christians alike came together to bring hope and restoration to people in their community. With 10+ projects completed, one recipient shared that she would've had to move out of her home if it weren't for the volunteers that fixed it up for her. A pilot year for this movement was deemed a success and will be bigger and better next year.
Praise God for the souls touched and the hope that was found!
