Park Fire Relief Work Update



The Park Fire continues to have a major impact in Butte and Tehama counties, which includes the following congregations: Redeemer, Chico; Mt. Olive, Corning; Calvary, Oroville; Our Savior, Paradise; St. Paul, Red Bluff; Trinity, Redding The Pastors and congregations have been active in the relief efforts in meeting families with prayer and comfort and access to gift cards as needed. Below is the amount in gift cards given to families this past week.


Tuesday 8/6/24 $3375.00 41 Families

Wednesday 8/7/24 $2875.00 43 Families

Thursday 8/8/24 $2250.00 19 Families

Friday 8/9/24 $2200.00 35 Families

Saturday 8/10/24 $1450.00 14 Families

Total $12,150.00 152 Families Average $80.00 per family.


As of August 14, Cal Fire is reporting the damage from the Park Fire as follows:


The current acreage is 429,259 in total:

Butte County: 52,937 acres

Tehama County: 376,322 acres


Between both counties, there are 641 destroyed structures and 52 damaged structures. *The total number destroyed and damaged includes infrastructure.


Butte County No damage: 893 (Residential, Comm, Minor, other structures) Damaged: 47 (Residential, Comm, Minor, other structures) Destroyed: 428 (Residential, Comm, Minor, other structures)


Tehama County No damage: 391 (Residential, Comm, Minor, other structures) Damaged: 5 (Residential, Comm, Minor, other structures) Destroyed: 213 (Residential, Comm, Minor, other structures
