The CNH District, along with the PSD and Northwest Districts, have been working with Concordia University on a new program tailored for non-Lutheran teachers teaching in Lutheran schools. It is called Foundations of Lutheran Teaching and we hope to roll it out this fall. The five courses are:
What Lutherans Believe and Why
Jesus Throughout the Bible - An Overview of Scripture;
Teaching the Faith;
Faith Formation - Supporting the Spiritual Development of Students; and
Spiritual Self-Care of the Teacher.
More information on registration and cost will be coming out soon, but I encourage you to consider this option for your non-Lutheran teachers. There will be a special Virtual Information Meeting on April 18 at 3:30 p.m. If you want to find out more about what this program is, please SIGN UP HERE to let us know who is coming.
