Mission Funding Opportunities
Short-Term Mission Trip Scholarship
Purpose: To give young adults and adults the opportunity to be involved in a focused mission experience. These scholarships are specifically directed to support the learning and development of our Christian laity through immersive mission.
Funding Available: The amount will be $100 per participant with a maximum of 8 participants per congregation, and will be awarded on the basis of need, and on a “first come, first served” basis. All short-term mission trip efforts must come with the approval from and connection to a CNH District congregation. Scholarships will be available only once per year per congregation at a level not to exceed $800 per year.
Sponsored By: These scholarships are made available by a generous grant from the remaining funds of Church Extension Fund and a portion of the Reformation offerings each year. The CNH District’s Mission Agency may supplement these funds from its own budget, depending upon availability.

Lay Leadership Development Training Scholarship
Purpose: The CNH District’s Mission Agency sponsors Hands-On Mission Scholarships, which are offered for training, experiential learning (i.e., Best Practices in Ministry; Multi-Cultural events; Christian Missions seminars or conferences), and other leadership development opportunities. These scholarships are specifically directed to support the learning and development of our Christian laity. Recipients are empowered to use knowledge they have gained to launch initiatives in their congregation to connect with those who have not yet been gathered into the body of Christ.
Funding Available: The Hands-On Mission Scholarships are available for application one time per year. The amounts will range between $100 - $800 per congregation and will be awarded taking into consideration a sound and clear mission plan, a basis of need, and on a “first come, first served” basis. Scholarships may be applied to registration, travel, or housing, and will be available only once per year per congregation at a level not to exceed $800 per year.

Purpose: The CNH Mission Agency gives financial support through mini-grant dollars to empower congregations to reach out to their communities. In addition to funding, the CNH Mission Agency is available to consult with congregations regarding how best to handle their follow-up and/or plan their efforts in a way to maximize the opportunity to enjoy people and make friends with an eye towards making disciples in their communities.
Funding Available: CNH Mission Agency Congregational Mini-Grants are available for application one time per year. The amounts will range between $200 - $1500 and will be awarded taking into consideration a sound and clear mission plan, a basis of need, and on a “first come, first served” system. No congregation may receive more than one grant per year.
