Rev. Dr. Kou Seying: Rev. Seying is the Lutheran Foundation Professor of Urban and Cross-Cultural Ministry and associate dean for Urban and Cross-Cultural Ministry. A Concordia Seminary faculty member since 2015, Seying is the first ordained HMong pastor in The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS). He previously served the California-Nevada-Hawaii District (CNH) starting in 2004 as a deployed mission developer/strategist of Joy of Harvest Ministries through St. Paul Lutheran Church in Merced, Calif., and Greenhaven Lutheran Church in Sacramento, Calif. Besides serving in the LCMS CNH District for more than a decade, he served as pastor of HMong Lutheran Church in St. Paul, Minn. (1991–95). He also taught religion and theology at Concordia University, St. Paul, Minn. (1992–2004), and was the missionary-at-large for the LCMS Minnesota South District (1995–98).
Ms. Christine Ouko: Christine Ouko is a graduate student at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. She earned her master’s degree with Deaconess Certification in May 2015 and is now pursuing her PhD in practical theology (Theology and culture). She is a member of the ELCK (Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenya) which is a partner Church body of The Lutheran Church— Missouri Synod (LCMS).Prior to coming to CSL, she served at Springs of Life Lutheran Church as a volunteer in the Diaconate Ministry (2008-2013), Nairobi Women’s Hospital as an intern in the Social Work/Counseling Department (2008-2010) and also worked with Wanjohi Consulting Engineers as a draughtsman; Survey and Roadworks Departments. Christine graduated from the University of Nairobi with Bachelor Degree in Psychology and Sociology (Double Major, 2012), and has an Associate Degree in Social Work and Social Development (2008).
Andry Randrianasolo: Dimbiniaina Havanjanahary Randrianasolo is a Pastor in the Fiangonana Loterana Malagasy - FLM (The Lutheran Church of Madagascar). He is also a missionary, mpiandry (Malagasy Lutheran licensed commissioned exorcist), a former Deputy Director of one of the six Regional Malagasy Lutheran Seminary of Theology (Sekoly Teolojikam-Paritany Loterana) and a Professor of Practical Lutheran Theology. Rev. Randrianasolo attended Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO in the Ph.D Theology and Culture Studies from September 2012 to May 2015. Then, in the fall of 2015 he transferred to Asbury Theological Seminary (ATS) to continue his doctoral studies in the Advanced Research Program. At ATS, he pursues a Ph.D degree in Intercultural Studies with a concentration in Evangelism.
Ted NaThalang: He was born in Bangkok, Thailand, into a Buddhist family. When he was still a boy, his stepfather and mother moved to Fort Wayne, Ind., where he was instructed and baptized into Christ. The Word took root in the heart of the young boy. He attended Lutheran elementary and high schools and graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis in 1991. The Holy Spirit brought Rev. NaThalang full circle when his first call was to serve as LCMS evangelistic missionary to Thailand. During his 11 years as a missionary there, Rev. NaThalang started a Thai Lutheran Church and trained Thai church leaders. Since 2002, Rev. NaThalang has served as Southeast Asia Coordinator and translator for the Lutheran Heritage Foundation. Since joining LHF, Rev. NaThalang has translated Luther’s Small Catechism with Explanation and an accompanying workbook into Thai. He has overseen the catechism’s translation into Khmer (Cambodia), Lao, Vietnamese, Bahasa (Indonesian), Chinese, Hmong and Burmese. He also directs projects in Japan, Taiwan and South Korea.
