Bay Area Mission Tour Recap
Site Visits at three recent mission start locations around the Bay area were the back-bone of this year’s Bay Area Mission View Tour. All of these locations have a direct connection with the CNH Mission Agency and its work. LINC - Bay Area was a supporting sponsor of this event. They are the “go-to” partner and extension for the planting of new communities of faith in the Bay Area.
The sites visited were Good Shepherd Lutheran in Hayward featuring the mosaic of cultures in mission there and the vision for LINC- Bay Area, Addis Kidan at the Bethel on Alemany site, and newly planted Faith Lutheran in So. San Francisco worshiping at the First Lutheran site.
Participants traveled together in one busy, viewing and considering the “footholds” we have as a church in the city and reflecting together on the things we experienced and heard. The day’s experiences were often punctuated with prayer on behalf of the ministries in our cities and asking God to lead and direct us in the future, opening our eyes to see Him at work.
Vision for the CNH Mission Agency in and beyond the Bay Area completed the day as participants were encouraged to “take the message back” to their congregations and friends.
