Lutheran Malaria Initiative
Because of one small mosquito bite, a child dies in of Malaria ever 60 seconds. Each year, nearly one million people die from Malaria-- most of them children and pregnant women. But it doesn't have to be this way. Malaria is treatable and can be prevented by a bed net that costs just $10.
The Lutheran Malaria Initiative teaches people to recognize the causes and symptoms of malaria, improves access to treatment and affordable care, and provides families with treated bed nets and instructions for their use.
